A Letter From The Muse
There are so many theories out there in the world today where many people find the color, pink, to be assigned as just a feminine color. We use pink as a way to identify girls and women and don't take the time to research the shade of its true meaning. When it comes to black men, many of us were informed that we aren't supposed to identify with pink because it interferes with our masculinity and furthermore, raises eyebrows from the society when detecting the assignment of our sexuality. I chose to do this shoot to showcase people as a dark-skinned man that I can wear a bold color such as pink and still give a lot of art to the look. I was grateful to have the honor of working with Shayla Hill, who's photography is known for capturing details of light, reality, angles and to tell a story in one photo. I also took the chance to work with her to experiment with architectural designs by going into a hotel building that has such an appreciation of interior design that makes it hard for many photographers to capture.

I hope you enjoy these photos that they are here to inspire.
