There is something different about Petite Noir's music and harmonic sounds. When you listen to his music, you feel that you are in a mysterious world where the most deepest instincts are telling you so much that you want to eliminate everything that is going around you and escape into peace. That's the feel that I get when I listen to Petite Noir. I first heard of him when Solange Knowles released her record label's first debut project and compilation album Saint Heron in November 2013. Since then, I have been listening to those variety of artists that have been featured on the album and by far, Petite Noir is my favorite. This South African singer and songwriter takes his audience into the African cultural world of beauty, war, and love on his new debut album La Vie Est Belle/ Life Is Beautiful that released this past September.
But, what's so appealing about this artist is his debut single off the new album entitled 'Best'. The song, itself, gives such a dynamic sound of Afrobeat and pop that is unforgettable to sustain. However, the video visualizes the message that Petite Noir is trying to give through the song and through the objective of the album itself. The artistic direction is so damn good that it continuously thrives you to want to see more and more of its color and actions.
We, here at ArtREV, could probably rate the video 9.5 out of 10. Check out the video below.
